AMATEUR SPORTS DEVELOPMENT FEDERATION

The Amateur Sports Development Federation (ASDF) was founded on 12th November 2025 and is registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The organization is committed to promoting advancing Physical Education and Sports Sciences research at both national and international levels. ASDF, located in Annapurneshwari Nagar, Kannurahalli, Hoskote, Bangalore, India, was founded by Mrs. Ekambaram Radha and Dr. Kasi Kamalakannan, who actively contribute to research, education, and philanthropic initiatives.

The ASDF Excellence Awards 2026 aim to recognize, celebrate, and honor outstanding contributions and exemplary achievements of researchers, academicians, coaches, sports professionals, and institutions across the globe in the fields of Physical Education, Sports Sciences, and allied disciplines. The awards emphasize innovation, academic excellence, research impact, professional leadership, and practical contributions toward the advancement of sports and human performance.

The International Physical Education & Sports Sciences Conclave and Awards – 2026 seeks to provide a global platform for distinguished scholars, emerging researchers, academicians, practitioners, coaches, and industry experts to exchange knowledge, present innovative research, foster academic and professional collaborations, and recognize excellence in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Coaching, Health, Fitness, and Sports Research. The conclave also aims to encourage interdisciplinary research, promote sustainable sports development, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of sports education and sports sciences.

The 1st ASDF International Awards for Excellence in Physical Education, Sports, Coaching, and Research have been instituted to honor exceptional individuals and institutions that have demonstrated remarkable dedication, leadership, innovation, and excellence in the fields of Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Sports Sciences, Research, and Sports Development. At a time when the global sports ecosystem is experiencing rapid growth and transformation, it is essential to acknowledge the educators, researchers, coaches, administrators, and institutions whose tireless efforts continue to inspire, develop, and strengthen sports culture and academic excellence worldwide. The Amateur Sports Development Federation (ASDF) proudly announces the inaugural edition of the ASDF International Awards, which will be held on 23 June 2026 in Bengaluru. The organizing committee of ASDF is committed to delivering a prestigious and internationally recognized event that will bring together eminent personalities, academic leaders, researchers, coaches, sports scientists, and professionals from across the world to celebrate excellence and promote the future growth of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Young Sports Administrator
  • Below 35 years with a minimum of 5 years of administrative experience and participation in at least 3 state/national-level events.

2. Outstanding Sports Administrator
  • Minimum 10 years of administrative experience and participation in at least 3 state/national-level events.

3. Outstanding Women Sports Administrator
  • Minimum 10 years of administrative experience and participation in at least 3 state/national-level events.

4. Outstanding Physical Education Teacher
  • Minimum 5 years of Physical Education Teaching experience and participation in at least 3 state/national-level events.

5. Outstanding Physical Education & Sports Promotion Institution (Rural Area)
  • Minimum 5 years of Physical Education & Sports Development and Participate in at least 3 State/National-level events.

6. Outstanding Yoga Teacher
  • Minimum 5 years of Yoga Teaching experience and participation in at least 3 state/national-level events.

7. Lifetime Achievement in Physical Education
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Teaching in Physical Education, 5 Scopus/Web of Science publications, and produced under the guidance of at least 8 PhD scholars.

8. Lifetime Achievement in Sports Coaching
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Sports coaching (only Olympic Sports), State/National-level medal winners.

9. Distinguished Professor
  • Minimum 20 years of experience, 10 publications, and produced under the guidance of at least 8 PhD scholars.

10. Global Eminent Scientist
  • Minimum 15 years of experience Minimum 10 Scopus/Web of Science publications, at least 1 patent, and produced under the guidance of 8 PhD scholars.

11. Young Sports Technology Professional
  • Eligibility: Below 35 years of age with a minimum of 3 innovation projects, software/app developments, patents/product contributions, or athlete performance analysis experience in Sports Technology.

12. Outstanding Sports Technology Professional
  • Eligibility: Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 5 significant contributions/projects in innovation, software/app development, patents/product development, or athlete performance analysis in Sports Technology.

13. Young Sports Coach
  • Eligibility: Below 35 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of coaching experience and at least 5 State/National level medal achievements through coaching.

14. Outstanding Sports Coach
  • Eligibility: Minimum 5 years of coaching experience with at least 10 State/National/International level medal achievements and significant contributions to athlete development and sports performance.

15. Young Sports Medicine Professional
  • Below 35 years with minimum 3 years of professional experience and demonstrated contributions in sports medicine, rehabilitation, athlete care, or sports physiotherapy. Preference will be given to professionals who have successfully managed the recovery or rehabilitation of at least three State, National, or International level athletes.

16. Outstanding Sports Medicine Professional
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience with distinguished contributions in sports medicine, rehabilitation, athlete care, or sports physiotherapy. Preference will be given to professionals with experience in managing the recovery or rehabilitation of State, National, or International level athletes.

The selection will be conducted by an expert committee, followed by approval from the apex governing body of ASDF.


Guidelines for the Nomination

  • 1. Applicants must be affiliated with recognized institutions.
  • 2. Only one category per applicant is allowed.
  • 3. Applicants must maintain ethical standards with no ongoing legal disputes.
  • 4. Complete CV with supporting documents is mandatory.
  • 5. Evaluation will be conducted by an international panel.
  • 6. Shortlisted candidates/institutions must submit relevant supporting documents whenever requested by the Selection Committee. Failure to do so may result in cancellation or suspension of the award.
  • 7. The jury has the right to cancel or add any number of awards in the above category, the decision of the jury will be final.
  • 8. Only the selected awardees are required to pay the processing fee for the Individual or Institutional Category.
